Deals this week: Lakeshore Capital, Indique Hair, Veta

Lakeshore Capital Partners has made an investment in Puri Company (Panpuri) through its Lakeshore Capital Fund I.

Based in Thailand, Panpuri offers skincare and personal care products.

Panpuri intends to use the funding to progress its marketing, research and development (R&D), and product innovation initiatives.

Indique Hair has partnered with Myavana to introduce a digital service named Indique ID.

Indique ID is a personalised hair analysis technology that helps hairstylists to advise clients on effective products and techniques.

Clients send a sample of their hair to Myavana’s laboratory, which conducts analysis to determine the hair’s health. The results help the clients to choose from different products on sale.

Indique offers chemically unprocessed human hair, which can be used as hair extensions. It has a presence in New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Miami, Boston, Silver Spring, Angola and Johannesburg.

Veta has agreed to launch its haircare products on RED, a social e-commerce application in China.

The agreement allows more than 60 million registered customers to order Veta’s haircare products online. The products can be collected either in store or can be home-delivered.

RED’s product review database includes numerous US, Japanese and Korean brands.

The transaction allows Veta to expand its brand in China and improve global sales.

Perfect and Maybelline New York are set to jointly launch their New York Fashion Week campaign under a collaboration agreement.

Perfect’s YouCam Makeup beauty app will feature three make-up styles designed using Maybelline’s Total Temptation collection.

The app allows users to try on Maybelline’s new styles digitally on to a live video feed.

The YouCam Makeup app can be downloaded from App Store and Google Play for free.

Emami has entered an investment agreement with Brillare Science, a manufacturer of professional beauty care products for hair and skin based in India.

The investment will be made by Emami through compulsory convertible preference shares (CCPS).

By July 2020, Emami’s CCPS will be converted into equity shares of Brillare, representing 26% equity stake in the company.

Brillare offers beauty care products, while Emami is a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) firm offering personal care, healthcare and beauty products.

Brillare markets its products under Brillare Science, Elementi Puro and Root Deep brands.
