ArcSoft launches new features on make-up app Perfect365

Image-intelligent technologies developer ArcSoft has enhanced its free digital makeover app Perfect365 with new features.

The latest features provide Perfect365 with simplified user experience, detailed How-to tutorials and a new Mirror function which applies makeup in real time, the firm said.

Perfect365 enables users to touch-up their photos by using pre-set templates. ArcSoft’s Face Detection technology automatically maps a person’s eyes, nose, cheeks, mouth and hairline from their photos, helping users to change their looks.

Users can also customise their looks with nearly 20 tweaking tools that whiten teeth, brighten eyes and remove blemishes.

The app claims to have more than 50 million users.

In the latest version, Mirror feature enables users to experiment with 10 different Perfect365 Hotstyles, view the virtual makeovers from all angles in real time and create three-second video clips and screenshots to send to friends or post to social media directly from the app.

ArcSoft vice-president of consumer products Sean Mao said: "The difference between Perfect365 and other digital makeover apps is our distinct face detection technology.

"We are able to accurately detect the key points in a person’s face and apply makeup in a way that looks natural and real."

The latest version of the app is available on iPhone and Android.
