Bayer launches new sunscreen under Coppertone brand

Healthcare company Bayer has launched the new Coppertone Whipped sunscreen in two formulas.

Designed to protect from harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays, the new CLEARLYSheer and WaterBABIES Whipped sunscreen formulas is said to have a rich and creamy texture that is easily absorbed into the skin, feels light, and does not clog the pores.

Coppertone uses research findings from its Coppertone Solar Research Centre when developing its sun protection products. They also undergo testing for safety and efficacy to offer assurance to the customers.

Bayer Suncare's marketing director Lisa Perez said: “At Coppertone, we’re dedicated to championing a worry-free life in the sun for everyone, focusing solely on developing innovative and expert sun protection. That’s why we’re approaching this year’s Whipped launch in a new and different way.

“Sunscreen lovers will have a chance to interact with and learn all about Coppertone Whipped through creative content, in-store product samplings, trusted beauty influencers, and more on-the-ground experiences.”

Launch of the new products is accompanied by release of various customer interactive activities such as sweepstakes and pop-up stalls in Miami to educate on suncare. In addition, the company is forming a partnership with beauty bloggers to offer tutorials for using Whipped as part of a daily skincare routine.

The brand has also collaborated with the Skin Cancer Foundation on its new programme, providing free skin cancer screenings and sampling of the new products.
