Coty to start production at Etna Township facility in Ohio

American beauty products manufacturer Coty is to begin manufacturing at its existing distribution operations facility in Etna Township in Ohio, US.

Due to start later this year, the facility will see an investment of $4m.

This investment will generate 73 additional jobs at the site.

Up to $4m will be invested on new machinery and equipment that will be used to manufacture cosmetic kits.

Coty North America Logistics director Chris Wiest was quoted by Global Cosmetics News as saying: "The Columbus Region provides many advantages for logistics operations, as well as strong manufacturing resources."

Based in New York Coty, the beauty company owns several cosmetics, fragrance and skincare brands, with a global net revenue of $4.4bn.

Its brands include Calvin Klein, OPI, Marc Jacobs and Sally Hansen.

In July 2015, Coty made plans to take over 43 beauty brands from Procter & Gamble, including Covergirl, Clairol and Max Factor, for a $15bn deal that includes stock valued at approximately $13.1bn and $1.9bn in debt.
