Dove launches new antiperspirant spray for women

Unilever brand Dove has launched new Invisible Dry Spray Antiperspirant for women to address concerns of clothes being stained with white marks.

According to a survey conducted in January covering 1,028 women aged 18 to 54 in the US, 9 in 10 women are concerned about white marks that deodorants leave on clothes. Dove's new antiperspirant spray is therefore designed to be invisible, leaving no marks.

Unilever's US deodorants senior director Dawn Hedgepeth said: "Dove Invisible Dry Spray antiperspirant was created to solve one of the biggest needs in the deodorant category.

"Women can enjoy the confidence that comes with effective odour and wetness protection plus the security of knowing their clothes are protected."

The white powder added as an active ingredient to antiperspirants is reported to cause the white marks on clothes, as it becomes visible by optical light scattering effect. Dove’s new antiperspirant Dove features anti-marks protection technology that is a combination of a finer milled active ingredient with masking oil, thereby resulting in the decrease of appearance of white marks.

Invisible Dry Spray Antiperspirant is claimed to leave no white marks on 100 clothing colours, dry immediately, and provide 48-hour protection from odour and wetness.

Dove offers a variety of products across soap bars, body washes, face care, anti-perspirant / deodorants, haircare, styling aids, and Dove Men+Care categories at food, drug, and mass outlet stores.
