Emami launches new variant of Navratna hair oil in India

Skincare and healthcare product specialist Emami has released a new variant of Navratna hair oil.

The new Navratna Almond cool oil is claimed to offer therapeutic benefits, as well as leave the hair nourished, healthy and non-sticky.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has been appointed to endorse the new product, reported Indiainfoline.com.

The company expects to reach out to a wider customer base with the value-added ayurvedic oil.

Available in three sizes, Navratna Almond cool oil includes several natural ingredients such as almonds, Indian gooseberry and false daisy, which help to relieve headaches.

Emami director Harsha Vardhan Agarwal was quoted by Thehindubusinessline.com as saying: "Navratna has been the popular choice of the consumers for cooling, relaxation and relief for more than two decades. Navratna Oil enjoys a volume market share in excess of 60% and is a category leader".

Worth more than Rs7bn ($103m), the Navratna portfolio includes Navratna Almond Cool Oil, Navratna Oil, and Navratna Xtra Thanda Oil.
