Sunscreen Bands, a new wristband for sun care, created by JADS International is now available across all retail outlets.

Aimed at both adults and children, the wristbands are designed to detect UVA and UVB exposure and change color to indicate time for reapplication.

The sunscreen can be directly applied to the bands and the skin.

The band starts off beige, and then transition to dark purple when activated by direct sunlight. It turns light purple (lavender) to remind users it’s time to reapply sunscreen.

When the band turns cream (or light yellow), the wearer has reached their maximum sun exposure for the day based on the SPF in their sunscreen.

Sunscreen Bands has also received The National Parenting Center Seal of Approval, and are approved by Parent Tested Parent Approved as the bands are compliant with the Consumer Products Safety Commission regulations.

The bands are said to be nontoxic, and work with all sunscreens with SPF 15 or higher.

These are designed for any outdoor activities, wet or dry, in both pools or saltwater, and are good for one day use.

Created to work alongside SPF sunscreen, the bands measure UV levels in any location irrespective of the climate or weather.
Sunscreen Bands are currently being sold at CVS, Toys R Us, Babies R Us and Bed Bath & Beyond.

Bands are also sold in packs of 10 on the website www.sunscreenbands.com.
