Mary Kay unveils plans to expand into Peru

US-based beauty company Mary Kay has revealed plans to expand its presence into the Peruvian market.

The company aims to strengthen its footprint in Latin America and will provide a flexible business opportunity to entrepreneurs in Peru.

As part of the plan, Mary Kay intends to open a branch in Peru, with headquarters in Lima. Opening of the Mary Kay Peru is scheduled to take place in September this year.

The company is also planning to announce its social media and web presence and will begin a series of demonstrations highlighting its beauty and skincare products, as well as the business and entrepreneurial opportunities associated with being a Mary Kay independent beauty consultant.

The planned opening follows the 2015 launch of Mary Kay in Colombia, which made its entry with 150 select beauty products in the colour cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, and bodycare categories.

For the proposed expansion in Peru, Mary Kay executives from the US, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia have come together to undertake market research activities and tailor the company’s opportunity for optimal success in the Peruvian marketplace.

Currently, the company has operations in around 40 countries worldwide.
