Naturally Splendid to distribute Laguna’s new cosmeceutical products

Biotechnology firm Naturally Splendid's (NSE) US subsidiary has signed an exclusive sales agreement to market and distribute the entire range of Laguna Blends' cosmeceutical products.

Laguna is set to launch its cannabidiol (CBD) formulated skincare line at the Seoul Food & Hotel tradeshow to be held next month. The line consists of seven custom formulated, CBD-infused offerings, including anti-ageing formulations.

Meant for a period of three years, the agreement will require NSE to achieve specific cumulative sales volumes covering the territories of Japan and South Korea.

Naturally Splendid has also shipped bulk hemp seeds to South Korea in an effort to re-establish access to the Korean hemp market.

NSE's chief executive officer (CEO) Dave Eto said: "We understand the bulk hemp seed business in South Korea is not what it was in 2016; however, strategically it offers NSE an opportunity to gain access to specific South Korean businesses looking for other value-added ingredients that NSE can provide."

With operations across six divisions, NSE develops, produces, commercialises, and licences new generation plant-derived, bioactive ingredients, nutrient dense foods, and related products.

NSE USA offers Natera CBD branded hemp based cannabinoid nutraceutical and cosmeceutical products, as well as Natera Skincare branded retail hemp based cosmeceutical products.
