Solix Algredients expands Solasta Astaxanthin range

US-based natural ingredients firm Solix Algredients has introduced a new product Solasta 110, expanding its current range of Solasta Astaxanthin products.

The new product is a 10% natural astaxanthin oleoresin and is ideal for use in manufacturing of personal care products due to its lower viscosity, which promotes flowability.

Solix Algredients' chief commercial officer Charlie Bowman said: "Our new Solasta 110 extends our range of astaxanthin products providing greater operational flexibility and cost savings to the makers of dietary supplements, nutritional beverages, and personal care products.

"USP quality, supply chain speed and flexibility, combined with our capability to formulate Solasta in a variety of carrier oils and other ingredients, enable our customers to differentiate and increase their sales."

The firm has also obtained Approved Quality seal certification from ConsumerLab.com for Solasta Astaxanthin.

Solasta is a natural astaxanthin extract produced in the US, from microalgae Haematococcus pluvialis. It is non- genetically modified organism (GMO) certified, vegetarian, and complies with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) specification.

Earlier this year, Solasta also secured UL Registrar certification for meeting the Natural Product Association's (NPA) standards for compliance with the US Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) for dietary supplements.

Solix Algredients offers algae-based, natural ingredients such as Solasta Astaxanthin, Solmega DHA omega-3.
