The Yards to open two new salons in Washington

Mixed-used development The Yards is set to open men's salon Eighteen Eight Fine and Cosmopolitan nail lounge in Washington's Capitol Riverfront district.

To be opened on the ground floor space of the Foundry Lofts apartment community, the Eighteen Eight Fine salon will feature semiprivate grooming stations.  

It will also offer multiple services such as custom haircuts, facial and scalp treatments, and classic straight-razor shaves.

Owner of the development real estate firm WashingtonForest City's Washington development vice president Jason Bonnet said: "We are very excited to welcome these two retail tenants to The Yards.

"They fill an identified need in the neighborhood and complement other service offerings in the neighborhood."

Set to open on the street-level at the Arris apartment community, the Cosmopolitan nail lounge will feature full-service nail and waxing treatments along with free Wi-Fi, refreshments, and individual guest tablets.

The nail salon utilises medical-grade sterilisation for all instruments in addition to disposable manicure tools and disposable liners for pedicure chairs.

The new salons will be joined by retailers such as Conte Bikes, The Juice Laundry, and District Winery this year. With $8.6bn in consolidated assets, Forest City Realty Trust owns, develops, manages, and acquires commercial and residential real estate across the US.
