YouCam Makeup consultation mode to be available in Fruit Gathering store in Japan

Perfect Corp will make its YouCam Makeup consultation mode available at Fruit Gathering’s new Ginza INZ store in Japan.

This will enable customers to use a Virtual Makeup Studio to experiment with makeovers using YouCam Makeup's augmented reality technology. 

Available from 15 June, YouCam’s consultation mode will display Fruit Gathering's products to customers, who can explore and create their own makeup styles.

In addition, customers will be able to purchase these products in-store.

Customers will also be able to use the mirror to try Fruit Gathering’s recommended base makeup method, the contour 3D Base.

“The Virtual Makeup Studio at Fruit Gathering will allow customers to try on a variety of makeup in seconds to find their ideal products more easily. We believe that true-to-life AR technology is the ultimate key to improving customer satisfaction in stores.”

Fruit Gathering’s makeup method is based on a development by Good Impression Makeup Association Japan (GIMA). It creates beauty looks that highlight natural bone structure. Beginning with a neutral makeup base, customers can try quick, brand mix, and retouch makeup looks.

The consultation mode is YouCam Makeup’s customised function developed for cosmetic brands to use in-store to give a unique online-to-offline (O2O) beauty experience to customers.

In Japan, over 10 brands are already using consultation mode in stores.

YouCam Makeup can be downloaded without any cost on the App Store and Google Play store.
