Beauty Partners subsidiary Celebrate Beauty Brands has acquired bath and body products maker Coastal Salt & Soul as part of its growth strategy.

Celebrate Beauty Brands was formed to exclusively manage the Coastal Salt & Soul brand. Beauty Partners will retain majority ownership in the new company.

Coastal Salt & Soul was founded in 2015 by entrepreneur Alisa Marie Beyer. It manufactures sea-to-skin bodycare products including a range of body butters, sugar scrubs, soufflé hand creams, bubble bath, body washes, and limited-edition, hand-poured, and botanically scented candles.

“The acquisition is expected to accelerate the brand’s growth in the specialty bath and body category.”

The acquisition is expected to accelerate the brand’s growth in the specialty bath and body category through North American expansion and global distribution under the guidance of Beauty Partners’ co-founders Bruce Kowalsky and Barry Shields.

Bruce Kowalsky said: “With Coastal’s existing portfolio of hugely popular butters, hand creams, and scrubs, as well as the development of new products and scents, we anticipate 2018 revenues between $15m and $20m.

“Together with Alisa and the rest of the team, we’re ready to start product development and innovation on new SKUs and consumer offerings.”

Following the acquisition, the brand’s new corporate office has been relocated to Hauppauge, New York.
