US-based beauty products manufacturer Elizabeth Arden has acquired the global licenses and certain related assets for the Ed Hardy, True Religion and BCBGMAXAZRIA fragrance brands from New Wave Fragrances.

The company said it is expecting the transaction as a potential deal that boosts earnings in 2013 and will also provide further discussion and guidance for fiscal 2013 during its fourth quarter and fiscal year 2012 conference call in August 2012.

Elizabeth Arden said it was also expecting minimal impact to its fiscal 2012 financial results, on account of the new transaction which would end on 30 June 2012.

The company said the new transaction would increase its net sales from 5% to 5.5%, according to its fiscal 2012 guidance.

Ed Hardy fragrance portfolio, originally introduced in 2008, has been expanded with the addition of Love & Luck, Hearts & Daggers and Ed Hardy Born Wild men’s and women’s fragrances.

The True Religion fragrance, which was launched in October 2008 in the US, has added few new brands, including the BCBGMAXAZRIA women’s fragrance which debuted in the fall of 2011.

Elizabeth Arden, a global prestige beauty products company, currently operates in100 countries. The firm’s portfolio includes Elizabeth Arden skincare, colour and fragrance products, Prevage anti-aging formulas and the celebrity fragrance brands such as Britney Spears, Elizabeth Taylor, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, and Usher.
