Scandinavian Cosmetics Group is set to acquire Norwegian company Solis International Cosmetics and its Swedish subsidiary Alf Sörensen.

Solis International Cosmetics and Alf Sörensen are independent distributors of perfumes, skincare products, make-up and other cosmetic products.

A subsidiary of Aurelius Equity Opportunities, Scandinavian Cosmetics Group is a manufacturer-independent brand management company that focuses on delivering perfumes, cosmetics, haircare and skincare products to Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland.

“We want to expand further, both organically and by means of a long-term mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy.”

The acquisition will help support Scandinavian Cosmetics Group’s market position in Norway and Sweden. It will also enable the company to increase its revenues by more than 15%, amounting to more than €100m.

Aurelius vice-president Nils Haase said: “Since acquiring Scandinavian Cosmetics in early 2016, we have successfully broadened our position as an attractive partner for the positioning and marketing of luxury and consumer brands in the cosmetics and perfumes segment.

“With Scandinavian Cosmetics, we want to expand further, both organically and by means of a long-term mergers and acquisitions (M&A) strategy.”

The Scandinavian Cosmetics Group already provides an extensive range of services related to online and offline brand development and market access in all relevant distribution channels, particularly perfume shops, drugstores, premium department stores and online shops.
