Aurora Cannabis has established a partnership agreement with Evio Beauty Group to jointly develop and produce new cannabis-derived cosmetics.

Under the collaboration, the two companies will develop a range of co-branded non-infused hemp seed oil products and a line of cannabidiol (CBD) infused cosmetics.

Aurora Cannabis’ CEO Terry Booth said: “Through this partnership with Evio, Aurora further diversifies its rapidly growing offering across the cannabis value chain, while capturing a unique opportunity to bring the Aurora Standard to cannabis-derived lifestyle and cosmetic products.”

“By utilising hemp seed oil and cannabis derivatives, we can enhance ingredient transparency.”

Following the partnership agreement, Aurora Cannabis has made a strategic investment in Evio Beauty Group.

The two companies expect that the collaboration will help support greater brand recognition and cross-selling opportunities to both firms’ customers.

Evio Beauty CEO Brandi Leifso said: “With the strong support of a dedicated partner like Aurora, we will continue to scale our female empowerment initiatives while addressing pain points in the cosmetics industry.

“By utilising hemp seed oil and cannabis derivatives, we can enhance ingredient transparency, reducing the use of hurtful animal by-products and ecologically unsustainable inputs.”

The company is supported by a board of directors, which includes Azure Beauty president Hugh Winters, BreakWater Venture Capital managing partner Paul Rosen, and Hunter Amenities International Sales vice-president David Price.
