US-based oral and personal care company Colgate-Palmolive’s new president and chief operating officer (COO) Noel R Wallace is set to start his new role.

He will be responsible for the company’s operating units and will report to chairman and COO Ian Cook.

Prior to this new role, Wallace served as the COO of the company’s global innovation and growth sector, as well as Hill’s Pet Nutrition.

After joining Colgate in 1987, Wallace led the company’s business divisions in North America and Latin America, as well as its Mexico subsidiary.

In addition, Colgate-Palmolive has appointed P Justin Skala as its executive vice-president and chief growth and strategy officer.

Skala will also report to Cook and will oversee the brand’s commercial growth functions, including global marketing, customer development, technology and supply chain.

He will be responsible for the company’s sustainability efforts and its recently acquired professional skincare businesses.

Prior to this role, Skala served as the COO of the company’s North America, Europe, Africa/Eurasia and global sustainability divisions. He joined the company in 1982 and served in various senior leadership roles, as well as led the company’s Asia, Latin America and North America divisions.
