US-based Concierge Technologies has announced its plans to expand the marketing and distribution of its Original Sprout brand of hair and skincare products to New Zealand.

The firm plans to introduce the products by leveraging the resources of its New Zealand subsidiary Gourmet Foods.

Concierge Technologies expects Original Sprout to reach retail outlets in the country within the next two months, with online sales to consumers anticipated to commence next month.

Original Sprout’s hair and skincare products are claimed to use natural ingredients that are non-toxic and suitable for vegans. They are currently available in UK, the EU, Turkey, the Middle East, Taiwan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Canada and the US.

“We believe Original Sprout products will be well received due, in part, to the growing trend for environmentally and health-conscious products in New Zealand.”

Concierge chief operations officer David Neibert said: “As we explored geographic growth strategies and opportunities for Original Sprout, we realised the products had no retail presence in the New Zealand market.

“We believe it to be a perfect fit for our New Zealand-based Gourmet Foods subsidiary to take on distribution.

Gourmet Foods has an established network of retail channels, which include leading grocery stores, convenience markets and other outlets, as well as backend processes such as warehousing and shipping.

Neibert added: “We believe Original Sprout products will be well received due, in part, to the growing trend for environmentally and health-conscious products in New Zealand.”

Original Sprout products were initially formulated for babies, but they are now suitable for all ages. The range includes skin creams, hair oils, hair gels, hair balms and protein mists.
