Coty has named Esra Erkal-Paler as its chief global corporate affairs officer and a member of its executive committee.

Esra will be responsible for managing the company’s global internal and external communications strategies and growth.

She will assume her new role at Coty’s London office on 21 May this year, reporting to CEO Camillo Pane.

Pane said: “I am delighted to welcome Esra to Coty, who brings more than 20 years of strategic communication and corporate affairs experience spanning beauty, consumer goods, healthcare and regulatory sectors.

“She has a strong track record of transforming corporate reputation, with a multi-channel mindset for engaging internal and external stakeholders.

“She will assume her new role at Coty’s London office on 21 May this year, reporting to CEO Camillo Pane.”

Esra worked at biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca for seven years as global head of external communications. She also held the role of executive director of the advertising standards authority in charge of policy, public affairs and communications.

At L’Oréal Group, she led internal and external communications, as well as public and industry affairs in the UK and Ireland.

In addition, Esra worked at Unilever as head of corporate affairs for home and personal care division.

With approximately $9bn in pro forma revenue, Coty’s major brands are COVERGIRL, Max Factor, Bourjois, Rimmel, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Hugo Boss and Gucci.
