Deals this week: Qingdao Kingking Applied Chemistry, MIDA

Qingdao Kingking Applied Chemistry has issued 344.17 million shares in a private placement.

Priced at CNY23.2 ($3.69) a share, the transaction helped raise CNY7.98bn ($1.27bn).

Guotai Junan Securities was the underwriter for the transaction.

Qingdao Kingking Applied Chemistry is a supplier of candles and cosmetics in China.

The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Cosmetic Valley France (CVF) during MIDA Mission to Paris.

As part of the agreement, both the parties involved will share information, mutual promotional initiatives and research and development (R&D) efforts on the Halal segment.

The MoU is a result of the growing demand for natural and organic products developed based on the Malaysian halal system.

Cannabis Consortium has raised $1m in a private placement of shares.

The shares have been subscribed to by a private investor, which will provide $800,000 initially by 1 May 2018 and the rest by 30 May 2018.

The initial payment will allow the consortium to acquisition a building that will be leased back to the consortium’s partners.

Cannabis consortium is a subsidiary of Bahamas Development Corporation. The company is not involved in any licensed cannabis operations, however, it is entitled to receive 15% of the annual net revenue generated by its partners from projects it is involved with, in addition to 15% of the proceeds generated from the sale of any company by its partners.

Rucker Park has raised $11m in a Series B+ funding round, which was led by Swiss venture capital firm ABC Capital.

Based in China, Rucker Park is a gym chain operator.
