Deinove and Greentech launch new anti-ageing active ingredient

Deinove and Greentech have launched anti-ageing active ingredient Hebelys.

Developed by fermenting Sphingomonas bacterium from the Deinove strain library, Hebelys contains a p16 IINK4A protein that is claimed to prevent premature cellular ageing.

The ingredient is said to help skin regain density, suppleness and elasticity.

Greentech CEO Jean-Yves Berthon said: “This first collaboration is a real success. Hebelys is a truly great active ingredient, fully in line with our catalogue and our ambition to offer the cosmetic industry high-tech active ingredients.”

Both companies have conducted tests to demonstrate Hebelys’ ability to stimulate collagen and protect against oxidation, elastin and fibrillin synthesis.

Deinove CEO Emmanuel Petiot said: “The joint work of both teams has been very rewarding. We are proud to have responded to Greentech’s expectations in terms of innovation and achieved a commercial product so quickly. We intend to continue in this direction.”

Deinove offers high compounds produced from rare microorganisms for the healthcare, nutrition and cosmetic markets.

Greentech develops and produces active ingredients for the cosmetic, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical domains. The group currently operates Greentech, Greensea and Biovitis in the US, Germany and Brazil.

Greentech will present the anti-ageing ingredient in its booth at the In-cosmetics Global trade show held from 17 April to 19 April.
