MGC Pharmaceuticals has partnered with British luxury retailer Harvey Nichols to release a medicinal cannabis cosmetics line.

As part of the deal, the retailer will sell the MGC Derma and Derma Plus ranges of 18 cosmetics products in its Beyond Beauty department store at Knightsbridge, as well as online by the end of June.

The partnership will allow the cosmetics company to grow its business in the market and help to increase the sales of its cannabis-based products in the future.

MGC managing director Roby Zomer was quoted by Global Cosmetics News as saying: “We are excited to see the MGC Derma collection gaining such traction with premium retail platforms internationally.

“We are continually searching for new brands that stand out from the crowd.”

“Harvey Nichols is known for its strict selection of brands and we feel we are well positioned alongside some of the industry’s leading products.”

Both the MGC Derma and Derma Plus products are made using cannabidiol.

The company claims that the products are formulated to treat customers with skin problems such as dryness, flakiness, redness, acne, blemish-prone skin and oiliness.

Harvey Nichols concessions and beauty buying director Jo Osborne was quoted by Global Cosmetics News as saying: “We are continually searching for new brands that stand out from the crowd and we believe MGC Derma is exactly that and will be extremely popular with our luxury customers who are looking for the next big thing in skincare.”
