France-based beauty company Laboratoire Synbionyme is introducing its new range of probiotic skin care products in the US this year.

The company’s new skin care products feature prebiotic and probiotic extracts.

The products will assist in the growth of good bacteria that will help improve skin defences, while revitalise and refresh the skin, according to the company.

The microbiota layer, which helps maintain skin health and homeostasis, contains billions of bacteria that can protect the outer layer of the skin, epidermis.

Synbionyme restores the balance to all three skin barriers, the epidermis, the immune system and the microbiota.

Under the new skincare line, the company plans to introduce the following five products in the US market, Radiance moisturising gel-cream, 24-hour moisturising cream, Universal serum, Enzymatic clarifying lotion, and Progena lift cream.

Laboratoire Synbionyme CEO Dr Michel Bohbot said: “Our researchers at Synbionyme have developed an exclusive multi-defence system, Pro-B3, which helps heal and reinforce your body’s three skin barriers.”

Pro-B3 contains ingredients that include prebiotics, probiotic extract and Omega 3, 6 and 9.

Bohbot added: “With the research progress we have made on the skin’s microbiota, we now understand why it is so important to take care of our skin’s bacteria and not to use harsh or aggressive products which destroy helpful microorganisms and create an imbalance.

“Synbionyme uses skin synbiotics (a combination of prebiotics and probiotic extract) to keep your skin healthy and ageless.”
