Clarins Fragrance Group launches Responsible Alcohol project

Clarins Fragrance Group’s brands Mugler and Azzaro have launched a new method of producing alcohol for fragrances that meets the stringent environmental and social requirements of the ‘Made in France’ programme.

Initiated on the Remicourt farm at Amifontaine near Reims, the Responsible Alcohol project focuses on promoting biodiversity in agricultural practices with local production.

It aims to create a balanced ecosystem for protection and regeneration of the environment to ensure optimal ecological production of the sugar beets used for perfume alcohol.

Last year, the brands selected an agro-forestry model and planted 2,209 trees at the edge of the field and inside the plot, with plans to continue plantations throughout this year.

The Mugler brand portfolio includes fragrances for men and women such as Angel, A*Men, and Alien, while Azzaro comprises men’s fragrances Chrome, Azzaro pour Homme, and Azzaro Wanted.

Clarins additionally includes various skincare and bodycare products across its Clarins and My Blend brands.
