Deals this week: Counter Brands, Soothe healthcare

Counter Brands, LLC (operating as Beautycounter) has entered a deal to take over two of the French luxury goods manufacturer Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE’s (LVMH) brands, NUDE Skincare and NUDE Brands.

The acquisition will help Counter Brands to expand in the international market and further strengthen its product portfolio.

Following the acquisition, Ali Hewson, founder of the acquired brands will become a member of the Counter Brands board, while her social activist husband Bono will join the company as an investor.

Counter Brands is a skin and body care products manufacturer.

Soothe Healthcare Pvt plans to grow its marketing and distribution sector by using the $2m fund received from Sania Nehwal, a renowned Indian badminton champion, and Sixth Sense Ventures, an Indian venture capital firm.

Soothe Healthcare is the owner of Paree, an affordable sanitary pads brands endorsed by Sania Nehwal.
