Deals this week: Shiseido, XCellR8, and Spectrum Brands Holdings

Shiseido has announced a partnership with Fabernovel to design and execute its training programme, Shiseido+ Digital Academy.

The programme was launched by Shiseido’s Digital Center of Excellence, a global hub for the company’s digital activities. It will provide online training and live sessions to employees to develop a consumer-centric and progressive approach towards digital skills.

XCellR8 has secured a £50,000 grant from the European Union to help eliminate the use of animal testing in cosmetics and related products. The grant was provided under EU research and innovation programme, Horizon 2020.

The funds will be used to initiate the next testing phase for a variety of human cell-based methods. The funding will help the laboratory improve these tests and receive approval from regulators.

Spectrum Brands Holdings has raised €375m ($421.06m) through a senior notes offering due 2020 bearing an interest of 6.37% a year.
