Dima Corp to launch Juvederm skincare ranges and mobile app in US

Dima Corp is planning to launch skincare ranges and mobile application of cosmetics brand Juvederm in the US, following the acquisition of the brand from DermaVita.

The acquisition enables Dima to develop and market cosmetic products under the Juvederm trademark. Based in Luxembourg, Dima develops and distributes cosmetic products and medical devices.

Dima Corp's president Dimitri Sillam said: "We are prepared to bring a new dimension to the rapidly growing $121bn skincare market with sophisticated technologies that reimagine the skincare retail business."

The Juvederm app is a high-tech diagnostic mobile application, which utilises photo technology to create a customised skincare formula for the user. Following provision of a selfie and completion of a questionnaire, the algorithm of the app chooses one of two bases and four of 11 active ingredients to generate a customised cream.

The app also provides a map to find the closest doctor's office where a customer can have a complimentary consultation to confirm the chosen active ingredients.

The 4-in-1 customised cream is claimed to contain more than 17% active ingredients, compared to 3% in the existing best products.

Sillam added: "There is a multitude of creams on the market, but the consumer may not be aware of specific skin issues and therefore does not know the correct cream that is best for their skin. The free Juvederm app will solve these issues for women and men across the US."

The app can provide up to 660 possible combinations, depending on the specific skincare needs.

Dima Corp plans to introduce the Juvederm skincare lines in more than 2,000 doctor's offices across the US by June.
