Dow to unveil two consumer care products at NYSCC in US

Dow Consumer & Industrial Solutions, a subsidiary of the Dow Chemical Company, will introduce two new skin care and cleansing products at the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) Suppliers’ Day in Edison, New Jersey in the US.

The two products will include a new sensorial enhancer for spa-like skin care formulations and a multi-functional suspension aid for adding creative touches to skin cleansing products.

EcoSmooth Delight is the sensorial enhancer, which is claimed to make luxury affordable to mass market skin care products, offering indulgence and premium feel and the flexibility to formulate silicone-free products.

The company will also unveil the ACULYN Excel Rheology Modifier, which helps formulators create multi-functional skin cleansing products with beauty benefits like moisturising and anti-aging.

ACULYN Excel Rheology Modifier uses suspension of beads and bubbles, and offers the ability to formulate at low pH values for products.

Dow EcoSmooth Delight Sensory Enabler is said to help formulators meet the sensory benefits demand by providing a compatible toolkit to offer consumers a premium sensory experience at an affordable cost.

Combined with various silicones and emollients, EcoSmooth Delight forms non-tacky and non-greasy formulations that make skin silky and smooth.

ACULYN Excel Rheology Modifier is said to be a high-performing suspending agent that helps formulators better meet the consumer demand for pH neutrality.

The new modifier also offers both suspension power and clarity at low pH values, while enabling a wide variety of suspension possibilities, including light agents such as glitters, jojoba beads or a variety of other beads along with the suspension of some air bubbles.
