Indonesia’s make-up market to register 11.10% growth by 2017: Report

The make-up market in Indonesia will register an 11.10% year-on-year growth by 2017, says UK-based research firm Canadean.

According to the report titled, "The Future of the Make-up Market in Indonesia to 2017", the market witnessed compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9.38% during 2007-2012, with major contributions coming from Eye Make-up and Nail Make-up categories.

In terms of volume, the market grew at 8.42% CAGR.

During 2012-2017, the market value is expected to record 10.96% CAGR, driven by Eye Make-up and Nail Make-up categories. In terms of volume, the market is expected to grow by 9.74%, helped by Eye Make-up and Face Make-up segments.

Category wise, Eye Make-up is estimated to grow at 11.78% CAGR during 2012-2017, while Face Make-up, Lip Make-up, and Nail Make-up are anticipated to grow at CAGRs of 11.23%, 9.75%, and 10.50%, respectively.
