Kopari Beauty receives investment from LCatterton

US-based Kopari Beauty has received capital investment from private equity firm LCatterton.

Some Hollywood celebrities have joined in this investment round and include Karlie Kloss, Shay Mitchell, Hilary Duff, Mila Kunis, and Ashton Kutcher.

Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The capital is expected to boost growth of the company in the US and emerge as a global brand, while supporting its research and development and product innovation.

It will also be used to promote investments in marketing and inventory in order to support the company’s retail partnership with Sephora.

Kopari CEO Bryce Goldman said: "This significant investment from L Catterton demonstrates the strong positioning and high-performance of our brand.

Launched in 2015 and founded by Bryce and Gigi Goldman, Kiana Cabell and James Brennan, Kopari Beauty develops coconut oil-based beauty products including Organic Coconut Melt, Coconut Sheer Oil, Coconut Body Glow, Coconut Balm, Coconut Crush Scrub, Coconut Body Milk, and Coconut Body Oil.

The products are claimed to be free of sulfates, silicones, parabens, GMOs and other harmful ingredients.
