Louis Vuitton to launch new perfume range

French fashion company Louis Vuitton is planning to introduce a range of new perfumes created by Jacques Cavallier-Belletrud.

Louis Vuitton opened a workshop in Grasse in the Provence region of France, where French perfumer Belletrud improved the range over four years. Belletrud visited various Louis Vuitton workshops during this time, where he was inspired to invent the infusion, which includes natural leather essence.

Belletrud was also interested in extracting essences through supercritical CO², a process used to extract ingredients such as vanilla that does not require any heat. He also decided to use a similar technique on fresh flowers.

May rose and jasmine extracts made with supercritical CO² are exclusive to Louis Vuitton.
