Lush to relocate staff to Germany following Brexit vote

UK-based cosmetics manufacturer and retailer Lush is planning to move its European staff from Britain to Germany after the Brexit vote.

The company has also accelerated plans to increase production at its Duesseldorf facility in Germany to cater for the European market.

The company was quoted by Reuters as stating: "While it was always the plan to make products for Europe in Europe alongside our Croatian factory, the reality of the Brexit vote has meant we have done it with a bullet."

"Many of our staff still have uncertainties about what the Brexit deal will mean for them and continue to wait anxiously for this to be revealed."

Nine employees have already relocated to Duesseldorf, while another nine will move shortly. Currently, the company employs around 1,400 people at its production facility in Poole, while 252 are working in Germany. This facility will commence supplying products for the markets of France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.
