Mibelle Group to buy P&G’s Ondal Sarl production plant in France

Switzerland-based beauty and personal care products Mibelle Group will acquire Procter & Gamble’s (P&G) Ondal Sarl production site in Sarreguemines, France.

Effective from July, the deal will enable Mibelle to boost its international growth strategy.

Following the completion of the deal, all the P&G employees will be retained by Mibelle.

Last July, P&G agreed to combine more than 40 of its beauty brands with perfume specialist Coty, while many of these brands are manufactured at Ondal Sarl.

After taking over the Ondal Sarl site, Mibelle Group will continue to manufacture there for P&G and also for Coty, assuming the closing of P&G’s merger with Coty.

Mibelle currently employs nearly 180 people and specialises in the production of retail and professional haircare products, hair colourings, and face and body care products.

Equipped with modern equipment and technologies, the Ondal Sarl site is expected to help Mibelle Group to expand its current product range.

Last August, Mibelle announced that it would form a joint venture (JV) with Indian retail group Future Consumer Enterprise (Future Group), in order to expand its business in the country.

The JV also seeks to help in designing and marketing new brands and product concepts for the Indian personal care sector.
