NeoStrata introduces ProSystem Retinol Peel

US-based skincare products developer NeoStrata Company has launched NeoStrata ProSystem Retinol Peel.

The new product is the company's first peel in the retinol category and it joins NeoStrata's other dermatological peels. The advanced, physician-strength product consists of 3% Retinol and Retinol Boosting Complex.

These components are designed to aid exfoliation, refine the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, help minimise acne, and enhance skin laxity while boosting a bright, even, and clear complexion. The peel can also be used as a cosmetic product for aging skin, acne and photodamage.

The retinol present in the peel is blended with other ingredients such as NeoCitriate, Aminofil, Bisabolol and Vitamin E. 

Amino acid derivative Aminofil supplements collagen and hyaluronic acid to smooth lines and wrinkles, Bisabolol is a botanical obtained from chamomile and aids calm skin, and Vitamin E provides skin an antioxidant lift and shields from free radicals. The peel can be applied in-office and removed at home after eight hours or after overnight wear.

It does not discolour skin, but a moderate flaking for three to five days can be expected as old layers of skin are shed.

NeoStrata suggests moisturising and protecting skin post-peel with NeoStrata RESTORE products. These include NeoStrata Facial Cleanser, NeoStrata Bionic Serum, and NeoStrata Daytime Protection Cream SPF 23.

The peel is recommended to be repeated every six to eight weeks for best results.
