New Avon appoints new president for social selling

New Avon has appointed Betty Palm as its president for social selling in the US.

She will report directly to New Avon CEO Scott White.

Palm will be responsible for transforming the sales representative experience.

The company has placed a new structure for its sales organisation, which is aligned under Palm.

Palm will oversee all aspects of recruiting, training and incentivising representatives, as well as providing them with the tools to drive a more efficient and profitable experience.

She is the founder of strategic consulting firm B Palm Group, which specialises in the direct-selling industry.

She has been consulting with New Avon for the last several months.

White said: "Reinvigorating the representative experience is the key to making New Avon the best social selling company and beauty brand in North America.

"By aligning the sales organisation under a seasoned direct-selling expert like Betty, we will accelerate decision making and simplify processes. Betty has already had a tremendous impact on New Avon, and I look forward to working with her to empower our Representatives, enhance their ability to serve customers and improve their earnings opportunity."

New Avon is a social selling beauty company in North America.

In 2015, it generated a revenue of over $1bn and has nearly 400,000 independent sales representatives in the US, Puerto Rico and Canada.

Its product portfolio includes skincare, colour cosmetics, fragrance and personal care products.

Its brands include Anew, Avon Color, Mark, and Skin So Soft.
