Panasonic expands line of trimmers and clippers

Consumer electronics firm Panasonic has expanded its line Professional Series with the introduction of new model ER-GP30-K Hair Clipper.

The new model has been designed so its stainless steel blades are set at a 45° angle, allowing accurate cutting and trimming. The sharp edge of the blade ensures quick, clean cutting of hair regardless of thickness.

The clipper offers six different cutting lengths from 1/8" to 11/16" and it can also be operated cordless for improved maneuverability.

Panasonic's consumer electronics grooming senior product manager Andrew Mark said: "Our new Professional Series hair clippers and trimmers have built upon 60 years in the consumer men's electric shaver and trimmer business.

"And, after almost 20 successful years in the European professional tools market, we felt the time was right to expand this product portfolio into the US.

"We have done extensive research to develop tools that will exceed expectations and deliver high-quality craftsmanship with advanced technology that benefits both professional hairstylists and barbers, as well as their clients."

Two other clippers and trimmers in the line include ER-GP80-K and ER-GP21-K. The ER-GP80-K model has blades made from combined diamond-like carbon (DLC) and titanium nitride (TiN) coatings and can be used to capture and cut hair that is often missed.

The ER-GP21-K can be used for finishing and detailing as it enables a clean, accurate cut, the company claimed.

The new Panasonic ER-GP30-K Professional Series clipper is currently available on Panasonic.com and at select salon and beauty stores.
