Sun Chemical acquires decorative cosmetics color company Kingfisher Colours

Sun Chemical, along with its parent company DIC, has acquired decorative cosmetics color manufacturer Kingfisher Colours for an undisclosed amount.

Kingfisher’s product lines and specialized tailor-made products will complement Sun Chemical’s cosmetics and personal care product offerings across the globe.

Besides Kingfisher’s color portfolio, Sun Chemical claims to provide cosmetics formulators for new, styling looks while further expanding color space capabilities.

Sun Chemical’s cosmetics colors manufacturing capabilities across the globe will be expanded with Kingfisher’s production facilities in Europe.

Additionally, Sun Chemical will expand its global position in the decorative color cosmetics marketplace.

Sun Chemical Performance Pigments president Myron Petruch said: "The addition of Kingfisher’s diverse, high quality product lines and specialized tailor-made products will further expand Sun Chemical’s cosmetics and personal care product offerings globally.

Sun Chemical generates over $3.5bn in annual sales and it employs over 8,000 people across the globe.
