AlastinSkincare appoints new chief commercial officer

US-based speciality aesthetics company AlastinSkincare has named James Hartman as its new chief commercial officer.

Hartman will assume the new role on 14 May.

Alastin Skincare president and CEO Diane Goostree said: “We are extremely pleased to have Jim join Alastin as a key member of the executive team to lead our commercialisation activities as we continue the rapid growth of our current products and build our product pipeline.

“Jim’s extensive operating background in the medical aesthetics space, including experience with energy-based rejuvenating devices, is a natural fit for us as we develop and launch new products and expand our sales force.”

Prior to accepting the current role, he worked as vice-president and general manager at Solta Medical, a division of Valeant Pharmaceuticals.

Before Solta, he served as the vice-president and US head of Aesthetics & OTC at Merz Aesthetics.

He also served as vice-president of global marketing and business development at Obagi Medical.

Hartman said: “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead Alastin’s commercial organisation as the company leverages its market-disrupting TriHex Technology to expand the physician-dispensed aesthetics industry.”

AlastinSkincare develops and markets clinically-tested physician-dispensed skincare products with proprietary TriHex Technology that is claimed to enhance, protect and maintain healthy skin.
