J&J introduces new ingredient transparency website for baby and beauty products

Personal care and baby care products manufacturer Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer companies has introduced www.SafetyandCareCommitment.com, an ingredient transparency websitefor baby and beauty products.

The firm said the new website will impart information about ingredients selection and evaluation, and provide details on standard safety assurance process.

J&J said the site will continually develop and be updated to incorporate consumer feedback, the latest science, new regulations and new information about the company’s policies.

According to the company, the new site also contribute information about the firm’s approach to research, the care taken to develop products for babies and toddlers, and its commitment to sustainability.

Visitors to the site will also find information on preservatives and fragrances role in the products, while also carrying the Johnson & Johnson Family of Consumer Companies’ future plans for a number of ingredients that have been catering to the consumers.

Johnson & Johnson Consumer Companies product stewardship & toxicology division vice president Susan Nettesheim opined that consumers these days expect more information and greater transparency and said the company was keen to listen to the feedback of the people who its products.

"On this site, we’ll do our best to explain how we make the choices we make, and to show how our plans incorporate consumers’ feedback. We want all consumers to see for themselves how and why every one of our products can be used with peace of mind," said Nettesheim.

The firm said the new site will disseminate information about the five-level safety process that the scientists at the company use and the principles that guide its approach to safety about the brands globally.

J&J said the website carries information about the brands, such as JOHNSON’S Baby, NEUTROGENA, AVEENO, RoC and CLEAN & CLEAR, that are used by the consumers in daily routines.
