Eurofragance appoints new general manager to support expansion

Spain-based fine fragrances firm Eurofragance has appointed former Internal Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) executive Andrés Pagés as the general manager for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean to strengthen its presence in these regions.

Mexico City is considered as an operational base for the Latin American market and is one of the firm's main areas of expansion. It also has a manufacturing plant in Mexico City. Eurofragance has clients in Mexico, Peru, Argentina, Costa Rica, Colombia, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic.

Pagés will also aid the firm in its plan to boost production capacity. He has previously worked as an account manager for the Mexico and Central America regions at Swiss perfume company Givaudan. He also served as an account manager and commercial director, repsectively, for Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean at IFF.

In December last year, the firm launched a new production facility in Singapore with an investment of €2m. Expected to complete by the end of this year, the new plant will have a production capacity of 3,000 tonnes per year and will create 18 jobs.

The facility will focus on improving delivery times, making production flexible, enhancing, and bringing production closer to this geographical area.

Eurofragance currently operates production plants in Barcelona and Mexico City, as well as creative centres in Barcelona, Mexico City, Singapore, and Dubai.

While the centres aim to create and develop new fragrances, the plants will work towards logistics and bolstering opportunities for growth.
