Global cosmetics major Coty division Calvin Klein Fragrances has unveiled its new Calvin Klein perfume, which is the first to be developed under the company’s chief creative officer Raf Simons.

Named Calvin Klein Women, the fragrance was developed collaboratively by perfumer Annick Menardo and master perfumer Honorine Blanc.

Packaged in a light pink bottle, the perfume features eucalyptus acorns, orange flower petals and Alaskan cedarwood, which are combined with black pepper and lemon sfuma; magnolia grandiflora, jasmine absolute, and olibanum essential oils; and Ambrox Super.

“The fragrance was developed collaboratively by perfumer Annick Menardo and master perfumer Honorine Blanc.”

In addition, Calvin Klein has unveiled its promotional campaign, featuring print and television advertisements, which depict Hollywood actresses Lupita Nyong’o and Saoirse Ronan.

Simons said: “With this fragrance, we wanted to put the concept of plurality centre stage. The campaign is an exploration of femininity, a group of women bonded by a common thread, the desire to have the power to create their own identity, and to support and lead the way for those that come after them.

“Calvin Klein Women is inspired by the transmission of strength and inspiration from one woman to the next; by plurality combined with individuality, freedom of expression; and the notion that the collective is as vital as the individual.”

The fragrance is packed in a bottle with an oversized disc-shaped cap. It can be purchased online and at Calvin Klein retail locations, as well as Harvey Nichols London Knightsbridge and HarveyNichols.com.
