Codex Beauty, a US-based clean beauty skincare brand, has launched Bia, which is its first product line, in the country.

Bia was acquired from Ireland-based herbal scientist Tracey Ryan in August 2018.

Ryan along with expert formulators and scientists create pure skincare solutions with natural ingredients.

Codex Beauty Europe director and master formulator Ryan said: “Bia products are made from the purest, most time-tested ingredients on the planet, providing tangible results with clean product profiles.”

Bia includes patent pending BiaComplex, a hydrating and nourishing blend of macerated oil infusions that can be used as a base for products in place of water.

The line covers five products – exfoliating wash , day cream, skin superfood, eye gel cream and facial oil.

Bia Exfoliating Wash is a multi-purpose cleanser to exfoliate, tone and polish the skin; Bia Day Cream helps to restore and moisturise skin; Bia Skin Superfood is a reparative treatment cream to nourish and hydrate the skin; Bia Eye Gel Cream is a cooling treatment to brighten and reinvigorate the eyes; and Bia Facial Oil is a daily dose of vitamin to repair and rejuvenate skin.

Bia products make use of bio-technology and green chemistry to generate formulas with scientific result, besides plant based preservative system of Codex Beauty to protect skin health.

Codex Beauty chief communications officer Dianne Vavra said: “The Bia product line is a shining example of the types of products Codex plans to develop and commercialise in the near future.”
