Lancôme and Mert & Marcus unveil make-up capsule collection

Luxury beauty brand Lancôme and photographer duo Mert & Marcus have unveiled a make-up capsule collection, called Lancôme x Mert & Marcus After Dark Collection, in the US.

Over the years, Lancôme has established a creative partnership with Mert & Marcus, a photographer duo renowned for images of influential brands and celebrities.

Lancôme president Françoise Lehmann said: “Working with such talented and exceptional personalities like Mert & Marcus has been an exhilarating and passionate adventure. Mert & Marcus are not only brilliant artists and renowned photographers, but they are also incredible beauty experts. I am extremely proud of this collaboration, the visual universe they have created and the innovative textures.”

Mert & Marcus stated: “We were never really interested in beauty in its original form. Somehow, what excited us over the past 26 years was transforming and creating characters with light, make-up, and stories, and this is what we tried to achieve with this collection.”

The After-Dark collection includes Eyes Cold as Ice Kit that features a liquid shadow, a glittery topper, flared cat-eye lashes, and a Monsieur Big Waterproof mascara that comes in green and blue shades.

Its ‘Transforming Liquid Eyeshadow palette comprises green, blue, purple and gunmetal shades.

Flaming Lips Lip Kit is a  duo colour lipstick intended to deliver an ombre lip effect while a L’Absolu Gloss gives shine to the lips. It is available in red and violet hues.

After Dark Eyeshadow Palette comes in 10 shades and has pearlescent, matte or iridescent finishes.

Teint Idole Ultra Duo Stick features a highlighter and a blur and is available in the shades of Light Pink or Dore.

Intended for lips, L’Absolu Rouge is available in three shades in matte to sheet finishes.
