BEB Organic launched new skincare collection

BEB Organic launched a skincare collection to address a number of challenges, including baby acne, scars, dehydration and heat loss.

Suitable for sensitive skin, the collection comprises five products.

The BEB Organic Healing Gel is made from arnica, cypress, elderberry, microbiota, myrrh. It is developed to treat acne, inflammation and irritation in babies.

Revlon unveiled plan to reduce costs by up to $150m

US-based beauty company Revlon revealed a new optimisation programme that aims to reduce annual costs by up to $150m.

This new programme is expected to streamline Revlon’s operations, reporting structures and business processes to maximise productivity, as well as enhance profitability, cash flows and liquidity.

The plan also includes job cuts across the company.

Frédéric Fekkai re-acquired beauty and haircare brand

French hairstylist Frédéric Fekkai and private equity investment firm Cornell Capital purchased beauty and haircare company Frédéric Fekkai Brands from a group of investors.

Following the acquisition, Frédéric Fekkai Brands is owned and operated by Fekkai and Cornell Capital’s joint holding company Blue Minstral. Fekkai’s France-based luxury fragrances and hand and body care products provider Bastide is also involved in the operation of Frédéric Fekkai Brands.

The beauty company was established by Fekkai in 1996 to develop various hair and body care products, including shampoos, conditioners, fragrances and styling products. Fekkai sold the company in 2008.

Forever Flawless launched anti-ageing care products

US-based skincare brand Forever Flawless introduced a new line of anti-ageing care products that are infused with natural diamond powder.

Called Age-Defying Collection, the products are said to restore skin’s texture and address common signs of ageing such as wrinkles, fine lines and hyperpigmentation.

The products utilise the properties of diamond powder, botanicals and vitamins to eliminate the buildup of impurities and stimulate cell renewal.

Hair extension brand Bellami Hair received investment from Cathexis

US-based Bellami Hair received a $20m investment from holding company Cathexis Holdings, with an additional $100m capital commitment.

With the investment, Cathexis will acquire a minority stake in Bellami Hair.

Founded by Julius Salerno and Nikki Eslami in 2012, Bellami has worked with personalities such as musician Guy Tang and television personality and model Kylie Jenner. This year, the company launched its Bellami Professional products and expanded its Bellami Beauty Bar retail salon concept.

Extinktion invested in Astanza laser systems

US-based laser hair and tattoo removal treatment provider Extinktion made an investment in the ReSmooth and Duality systems developed by Astanza.

Using Astanza Duality, Extinktion can remove either whole tattoos or particular sections of a design, as well as offer tattoo lightening services in preparation for a cover-up.

Extinktion’s owner Matthew Sandell said: “We’re committed to the process of safe removal and value high patient care and satisfaction above all else.”

UAE-based Darlie Global began operations in US

Darlie Global FZC’s US-based subsidiary began operations from Long Island City, New York.

The firm manufactures a portfolio of international brands from its production units worldwide. It manufactures a range of products comprising oral care, haircare, skincare, personal care, kitchen, hygiene and baby care products.

Darlie Global FZC president and CEO Sakib M Rahman said: “Darlie Global saw a gap for high-quality, affordable wellness and healthcare products in the North American market, which led to the conceptualisation and launch of Dr. Neem, Mr. Darlie and Celozia, Divine Care brands.”

L’Oréal’s ModiFace unveiled Virtual Nail Salon app

L’Oréal’s augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) unit ModiFace unveiled new Virtual Nail Salon app for the iPhone.

The app features the company’s new hand and nail tracking technology. It virtually applies nail polish shades and textures onto live videos of the user’s hand.

The latest release comes after L’Oreal acquired Modiface in March this year.
